While working at SDSU Digital Marketing and Creative Services, I worked as a student graphic designer. I worked with a variety of projects from print materials to digital content, including: brochures, posters, bulletin boards, flyers, rave cards, Instagram posts, Canva templates, booklets, event photography, and many other deliverables. Throughout all these projects, I upheld the SDSU branding guidelines, by utilizing SDSU logo, color palette, and pattern as well as building creative design within these restrictions.
Below are my selected works from my time at SDSU DMCS.
For the first project, I created an updated design for the Let’s Talk student brochure and parent booklet. Both needed to have similar but distinct design to connect them as well as being distinctly SDSU. I updated both cover designs for both prints and inside page content and layout.
For the second project, I created the TRiO brochure, promoting resources for SDSU’s Student Disabilities Services. The SDSU SDS department had an existing logo and pattern set that I incorporated into the design of the brochure.
For the third project, I created a new logo for the SDSU Mentor Training program. The logo would originally be for t-shirt designs but would later be expanded onto lanyard designs. For this design I showed a variety in options ranging from graphic to professional.
For the fourth project, I photographed a staff event, the Staff Milestone Awards, where staff were celebrated and awarded for their years working at SDSU. Here I interacted with event staff and event leads and engaged with guests to get their photos taken. SDSU President, Adela de la Torre, posted my image from the Staff Milestone Awards Ceremony onto her Instagram.
